Third of the gated Icecrown Citadel wings down - The Frostwing Halls, and we now have access to The Lich King himself! Our healers got a taste of the good life in the Varlithiria Dreamwalker fight (Never heard them sounding so self-important before...), and then we killed Super-Sapphiron (Sindragosa) with some expert ice block breaking! I think that however many times we do that encounter I'll still find it petrifying as Sindragosa rushes towards our position before the tanks turn her... Anyway, onwards to the Frozen Throne!

Second of the gated Icecrown Citadel wings down - The Crimson Hall. The first boss (Blood Prince Council) has alot going on, but with some fancy bomb juggling we got it down pretty easily. The final boss was Blood-Queen Lana'thel, and the only reason this new isn't posted yesterday is because of the awful lag that affected the server. So the raid was called until today, when we killed it on our 3rd pull, impressive and bloodthirsty work!

Today we cleared the first of the gated Icecrown Citadel wings - The Plagueworks. The final boss was Professor Putricide and he was very talked up! Some people were even suggesting he was bugged before some guilds had managed to kill it. We put in alot of effort this week to make sure we got him down and were rewarded with a brilliant kill with 3 attempts remaining. Technically it was 4, but a certain DK somehow managed to auto-run into the boss on the 4th attempt while everyone was updating boss mods...

About time eh? Good job everyone, nice to finally get him down with 50/50 left as opposed to the 49s and 48s we've been seeing since we did Mad Skill. It was especially nice to see the entire raid stay online for the entire fight! It was a very smooth kill - 25 alive at the end. Grats to Shayne for getting our first of hopefully many 272 Cloaks.

Today we completed 25man Earth, Wind and Fire. It was a fantastic kill, but a horrible one to judge, knowing that once you make the decision to kill one of the mobs, the rest must die or you've wasted your entire time on it. Realm 1st, World 49th, great job!

Today we finally got down Yogg-Saron without the help of any keepers - it was brilliant to get this down and now we can say that we've completed all of the encounters in Ulduar. And quite frankly, I've had more than enough of that place! Good job everyone who spent time wiping and who was there for the kill.



Secondly, grats to Lemonandlime for completing his Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings, which is the third in the guild!



And finally, grats to Shayne for being a lucky git and winning the raidroll on the Mimiron Head mount.

Great job everyone, not only did we complete Trial of the Grand Crusader this week for a Mad Skill Tribute Chest but it was also a Realm First! Hopefully we'll see more of these in the future - keep up the good work!

Today is the third year anniversary of the creation of Ronin! We've come along way in the three years, from our creation towards the end of Vanilla when we had a much lower profile in terms of realm progression through to The Burning Crusade where we began our upwards climb, right up until Wrath of the Lich King where we're now heading the progress on Horde-side.

Today we successfully completed the 10-man only achievement "Herald of the Titans", which is to defeat Algalon with no member of the raid wearing an item with an item level higher than that which can be obtained in Ulduar 10. We had an odd assortment of gear, including Jerichoz wearing [Red Dragonscale Protector], an ilvl 74 shield from BWL (good job keeping your old shields) - and alot of pvp gear was floating around. It proves though that skill is worth more than gear! Well done, hopefully we can get some more of these runs going in the future.
